Gift Guide: The Pop Star

She's sugar, spice and everything nice with a penchant for glitter and candy brights. Skulls on her are more punky brewster than punk and sparkles abound. Gifts for her are fun, flashy and unabashedly girly.

A metallic hair band ball to stick in her bag for tangled post-concert tresses. From Sephora.
Serious nail sparkle from OPI - I love the coppery "Extra-va-vaganza" and the fuschia "Show It and Glow It." Beauty Lounge has them for $6.25 each along with the rest of the holiday glitter line.
To show off the sparkly manicure while keeping fingers free for texting her posse a pair of fair isle skull fingerless mittens from Delias.

Moxy Ivy old school roller skates from Urban Outfitters - but only if she's been very good.

Because there's no such thing as too much sparkle, a sequined slouchy beret from Charlotte Russe

Advice from a fellow pop icon - available on Amazon.

Some seriously loud earbuds and a gremlin to wrap them up in. All the better to hear Bieber with.

A decidedly more posh take on the silly bandz trend courtesy of Marc Jacobs - on Shop Bop.
Sweet enough to eat fragrances from Demeter, shower gel from Philosophy and a quartet of lip balm from Dylan's Candy Bar - reminds me of my sister's cotton candy perfume from grade school, our favorite.
A bright and beautiful cosmetics pouch from LeSportsac
A fabulous patterned notebook inspired by my own time spent as a teen writing in notebooks shared by myself and my besties. We would hand off during passing periods, take them home over the weekends and decorate them with an endless supply of gel pens and glitter stickers. Our hopes, our dreams, our crush of the week all chronicled for eternity. I'd like to think that even in the age of Twitter, Facebook and texting, our pop star might pass a note or maybe even a notebook full - with books as cute as these by Sarah Pinto, I'd like to take up the habit again myself.
A brilliant blue cardigan and yellow henley are total steals from Old Navy at $35 & $10. They look pretty festive with these rad silver glitter Toms.

Finally for a digital jam session, the latest Rock Band 3 with keyboard. On Amazon.
